How we handle your personal information when you contact us through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Robust Machines (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and protects your personal information in line with POPIA. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us through this website, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and your rights.

When you submit an enquiry, quote request or order, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, town or province, the machine or product you’re interested in, and any message you send. We do not collect special categories of information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send you pricing, and process or arrange any order and contact you about it. If you tick the optional marketing box on a form, we may also send you occasional news and offers — and only then.
You don’t have to give us your details, but without them we can’t respond to your enquiry or prepare a quote for you.
Your submission is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in our lead-management system, hosted on Google Firebase. The database is located in Google’s European data centres, and access is restricted to authorised Robust Machines staff through individual logins. Because the data is stored outside South Africa, we rely on the European Union’s data-protection regime, which provides a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as contemplated in section 72 of POPIA.
We will only send you electronic marketing where you have agreed to it (for example, by ticking the marketing box) or where the law otherwise permits. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing us, and we will stop.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purpose above — to handle your enquiry and any resulting relationship — after which we delete or anonymise it.
Under POPIA you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to its processing, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email info@robustmachines.co.za.
